Let’s be honest—not every senior is jumping up and down at the idea of getting their photos taken. Especially the guys. And when Lucas's mom and I talked about doing a session for him (since we did his big sister's a few years back), we knew a little bribery would be involved.
The deal? He’d smile for the camera if we let him hit the golf course afterwards. Not hard to do since the golf course is his happy place.
Fair enough.
So we made it happen - a combo photo shoot and a little tee time. He brought his clubs, and we headed out to capture his laid-back, athletic vibe right where he felt most comfortable—on the green.
And guess what?
He ended up having way more fun than he expected.
And we all had fun racing in golf carts to find the most photogenic hole. Mom got the photos she dreamed of, and he got to sneak in some golf in the process.
Win-win.
It just takes meeting them where they’re at, adding a little fun, and letting them be themselves. We figure this out by having a real talk with parent and senior and let them design a session that interests them.
And lucky for me, Lucas is no stranger to my camera. I've been photographing Lucas since he was a little blondie with straight hair. Scroll down to see some adorable shots of him back then too!
Did you know most senior sessions are done during the summer before senior year starts? And right now - this very moment - is THE best time to book your session, whether it's for summer or early fall. Photographers like me are booking our calendars up right now.
Most of our clients come from the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia area. But we also have kids from as far away as Delaware and North Jersey.
Whatever your teen's vibe is, we customize a session to fit. We are planners! And that gives you a relaxed, stress free experience for session day.
And if you're in the Marlton, Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Moorestown area, there's tons of spots Joan's found that aren't too far away but give you a bit of a destination feel!
